Rocha is one of Panathinaikos' best-ever footballers having played for the club for nine years between 1980 and 1989 and earlier having represented Boca Juniors in his native Argentina. The PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP competition committee has banned Juan-Ramon Rocha, the Argentine coach of Panathinaikos Under 17s, for sitting on his team's bench for one match after referee Zsolt Szabó was forced to dismiss him during the match against Videton-Puskás Akadémia for unsporting conduct.
