The tournament starts on Friday but the tournament's foreign participant teams; the Hagi Academy, Panathinaikos and Real Madrid met with the Hungarian teams Budapest Honvéd, Ferencváros and the host team Videoton Puskás Akadémia at the last resting place of the tournament's eponym, Ferenc Puskás, to remember him.
After the candle-lighting ceremony the restaurant named after 'Öcsi bácsi', the Puskás Pancho Sport Pub, was the venue for PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP sponsor Suzuki Hungary's celebratory tournament opening dinner with the participating teams. After the recent anniversary of Puskás' birth and after the celebratory welcome dinner the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP will get underway tomorrow at 15:00 when the hosts the Puskás Academy will take on Ferencváros.
