Honvéd want to follow Kispest’s traditions

Humble and determined

23rd March 2010.

Károly Varga, the Budapest Honvéd FC Under 17 coach, says his team are determined to at least match the good results of last year’s squad at the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP.

There is some truth in what Béla Dukon, the Ferencváros coach, said in connection with the draw in that it would have been good to have drawn the two foreign teams, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos, which will meet in the same group” Varga opined.

Honvéd have not yet faced Milan, their other Group B opponents, but a repeat of last year’s Final against Ferencváros will already have taken place before the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP when their two U17 sides face each other in an important league match. Furthermore, the Puskás Académia will take on Honvéd in a domestic championship match on the second weekend of April.

Károly Varga emphasised Honvéd will do their best to again do justice to Kispest’s traditions through their performances in order to reach the Final and play against Real Madrid.
