Hemingway went on to state that in the summer at least six players educated at their own academy could be part of the adult first team squad. The real fruits of success would come in 5-6 years' time when the current Under 17 generation will be in their early twenties and they will constitute at least half of the NBI team's squad of players.
The Honvéd owner emphasised that Hungarian football is progressing positively, in no small part thanks to the plans to aid youth education of Viktor Orbán, Hungary's Prime Minister and founder of the Puskás Academy. Hemingway is sure that "the children of today are going to bring an awful lot to football in Hungary". First up is for Honvéd's current U17 to defend their PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP title.
