We must improve against Pana!

Hagi Academy coach Daniel Radulescu admits they met with a strong Honvéd team

23rd April 2011.

The Hagi Academy suffered a 2-0 defeat in their first PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP match against the title holders Budapesti Honvéd yesterday. Coach Daniel Radulescu's team held it together in the first half but after the break they conceded two goals, meaning they must improve against the second of last year's finalists Panathinaikos when they meet in their group match on Sunday.

"Unfortunately our best players are currently with the Romanian U17 natinal squad preparing for the Elite round of European Championship qualifying. It''s not an excuse to say that this means we not able to do justice to our true capabilities. We arrived here at the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP with lots of young players and they give everything to represent the Hagi Academy in good matches at a high level. Against Honvéd we weren't quite successful but the level is strong and perhaps we can improve against last year's finalists Panathinaikos!", surmised Radulescu, the Hagi Academy's U17 team coach.
