In the semi-finals Puskás Academy beat the journalists XI 4-1 and Videoton triumphed over Suzuki Hungary to set up an intriguing final. Then, in the final, one goalkeeper sparkled...

Title-holders the Puskás Academy negotiated their semi-final in style, Florián Albert, István Vincze, Tamás Móri and Róbert Fóris scoring against the Journalists XI for whom only Krisztián Simon could reply. In the other semi-final Videoton gained a measure of revenge for last year's defeat to Suzuki Hungary, this time defeating the team of the tournament sponsor with a well-taken goal from Gábor Toldi.

In the final one goalkeeper sparkled; goalkeeping coach Imre Bíró scored two penalties in addition to which Florián Albert scored as well. Vidi did find the net through Krisztián Tiber and Lajos Havasi but they couldn't find an equaliser and so the Puskás Academy prevailed 3-2. In the 3rd/4th place match the Journalists led through a Péter Csillag goal but Géza Török equalised from the penalty spot. The teams couldn't be separated in normal time so it went to a penalty shootout which the Journalists won 4-3.
