Panathinaikos are bringing possibly their highest-level representation
to the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP. The world-famous team will be represented by
Vice President Anthinos Kapsis who for four years from 1970 was a
player under then-head coach Ferenc Puskás. Kapsis played in the 1971
European Cup Final at Wembley and was the club's leading goalscorer
that season under Puskás' tutelage.
According to the rules each squad list for this year's PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP must only include those born after January 1st 1992; Pana's delegation this time includes three born in 1993 and five players born as late as 1994! The club's academy is of course world-renowned and those present at Felcsút or in the Sóstoi Stadion in Székesfehérvár will look with interest for the next Jorgos Karagounis!
With the Greek delegation will again be Mr Nikos Sakulis! It is with great happiness that we can welcome back Ferenc Puskás's former translator, not as a part of the list of travellers but instead as Panathin aikos' honoray Head of Delegation. We now await the arrival of the delegation from the one hundred-year old, 19 time Greek league and 14 time Greek Cup winners!
