István Vincze captivated by thought of reaching PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP Final

"We will give everything"

István Vincze and his team want to play against Real Madrid
Puskás Academy U17s head coach István Vincze was not dissatisfied with the draw for the group stage of the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP. His Puskás Academy Under 17 team have twice beaten Ferencváros in this season's league championship and they have also played Slovan Bratislava in a warm-up match... from June 11th we will see how much this prior knowledge will count on the pitch.
In terms of the mechanics of the draw it was not possible for Real Madrid, as seeds, to be drawn as opposition for the Puskás Academy team, so a further question was whether Vincze's side would be in a group with another of their compatriots or up against two foreign clubs. Certainly from one point of view the eventual draw was a favourable outcome! In the U17 league championship the Puskás Academy is in second spot and will play ...

The 'dark horse' of Panathinaikos and Slovan are already well-known to the Puskás Academy. Matches between the teams from Felcsút and Bratislava have taken place with mixed success for the Academy team. Former Hungarian international Vincze commented "In the last match against Slovan in Bratislava we lost 2-1, although we were playing with some triallists in the team. Against Fradi we have won twice in the league this season; once by 3 goals to one and the other time 3-2. We hope our preparations will go well in the lead-up to the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP matches and I can certainly promise on behalf of my team that we will do everything we can to make it to the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP Final... of course I know we are not the only ones with this aim!"
