At the behest of Iván Folk, the Academy college teacher Ferenc Mácsodi and the musical group have been working in the Zafir Studio in Solymár on the recording of the Felcsút anthem. For the guitar solo the group borrowed one of Mácsodi’s friends from Pécs, Péter Lettner. Otherwise the basic lineup (drums: Péter Kecskés, synthesizer: Bálint Horváth, bass guitar: József Tajti Jr) recorded the tune. Mácsodi was delighted with the quality: “I wouldn’t have thought that the studio was capable of such wonders. The basics of the lyrics are already ready courtesy of me and Mihály Takács (the U13 team coach).”
For the chorus (Felcsút, Felcsút! Victory will be ours!) we were successful in finding from among the academy students the best singers. “Naturally we looked for ten to twelve students with good singing voices so that the anthem would sound even better and stronger!” On the recording we will see how, after the ball, the boys get on with their voices…
The story of the anthem doesn’t end here though: PTV director Imre Fekete is planning to shoot a video clip. We shall soon see and hear Ferenc Mácsodi’s composition. The premiere is expected to take place on the first day of the PUSKÁS-SUZUKI CUP. We can’t wait!
